without removing white patina(oxidation)?pic.attached is 140 or so fired lead found embedded in hillside(target practice?)that i was able to clean up a little bit.to the right of this pile are misc. lead items(mostly unfired & dropped)found nearby w/patina intact, but no concretion before being cleaned up.what would be the best solution to soak these in to remove just concretion & or dirt?union campsight, thanx DSCN1701.webp

I run mine under water and very lightly brush with a tooth brush. Just water. Sometimes if they are really dirty I will let them soak over night. Depending on the soil, sometimes they will not come clean but most do. Nice finds.

maybe soak them for a few days w/"dawn" or other?thanx

was also thinking about soaking in orange citrus concentrate, but i just want to take off the dirt & not the white.
