I found this piece of jewelry a few weeks ago by an old cellar hole, where a farm use to be. Thought it was kind of neat. Was just wondering how they put the image on the glass or stone. Not sure which it is.

Hey kansa,

Nice link, sir. I'm guessing it to be hand painted porcelain, and part of a larger piece; whether a necklace, bracelet, or belt.

What metal is it? What's the backside look like?

I suspect it is much closer to the Victorian era, than the Renaissance.

I believe it is hand painted porcelain, and from the late Victorian era. The renaissance was in the 15-1600s. It looks like it was an element from a bracelet, and quite pretty.

You guys are right, it's definitely Victorian era. Slight mental lapse on my part.
