The smoke from all the fires is really bad and unhealthy, but I just couldn't stay inside any longer. I decided to hit a local park so I could make for a quick retreat home if my eyes got to burning too badly. I've done pretty good a couple of times in the past at this park. Because of the smoke there was nobody at the park, which was really nice! Managed to unearth $5.92 in clad including a bicentennial Kennedy half, some junk jewelry...
...and Bam! Oh the sweet look of fresh, shiny 14k butter right out of the dirt! I think it's the nicest looking ring I've found yet. The maker is Kabana, and it looks like real amethyst, and perfect condition.
I've been working on using my probe more instead of digging plugs to avoid damaging things and I'm getting pretty good at it. Most stuff is less than 2 inches down, so that helps.
