Repairing outer coils

I have a hot head coil that at the base of the ears (where the rod connects) where it blends into the top of the coil, it is cracked on both outer part of the ears. What would be good to use to seal the two 4 inch long cracks?

silicone maybe? I dont think you can ever fix it right.. but just me

2 part epoxy. The kind you mix the 2 components together.
