There is a difference between an ID and a dog tax for sure.

I have one that I found in Dec. in Tomball Tx. The tag was a 1991 Vaccination for rabies from a Vet in Spring TX

Hello . . . .yes, there's actually 3 different "dog tags" . . . . . we are more interested in the TAX tag or LICENSE tags that is issued by the local agencies . . . . however, there are also ID tags and there's rabies vaccine tags (we aren't so much interested in those ones).

Found this while in Olathe KS a while back. Pretty neat seeing it as a fire hydrant.

Oh yeah ~ VERY COOL FIND!

FYI ~ the oldest known dog tax tag from Olathe KS is dated 1911. There easily could be ones older than 1911, but none have been found or reported yet.
