hey guys, took the boys to my in laws campground for a quick hunt, after about an hr we pulled 3 wheats, an aluminum ring, this belt buckle looking thing, a key and a neat registration plate from 1925, i told my son what i always say when we see wheaties, i said "if theres wheat theres bound to be silver", the next 2 holes we pulled these beauties, a 1920 merc, and a 1944 merc, my 2nd and 3rd mercs in 2 days!:icon_thumleft: we only left cause mother nature opened up the skies on us and we nearly drowned the ace350 SAM_2424.webpSAM_2425.webp

Nice, really nice. I just found a '44 Merc just the other day (check my last thread). It really is the lovely Lady Liberty depicted on the obverse. Here's something gypsybandit and everyone might like reading. Mercury dime - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

hmmm, interesting. Honestly it doesnt make a difference to me, theyre still pretty sweet looking in my book:thumbsup:

The same thing happened to me when I found my 1st Merc. Somebody told me I was wrong, so I looked it up to make sure. You're right, it's no big deal and everybody likes Mercs, it is a beautiful coin. Yup, I like finding silver, that's for sure.

Oh yeah, that isn't a man sitting at the right side of Jesus in the Last Supper painting either. jmho:dontknow::icon_scratch:
