I heard rumor from a friend of a cellar hole. I used 1 meter resolution lidar imaging to see where it was. I noticed an 8 foot wide road, lined with stone walls on each side going through the woods, with three cellar holes along it. None of these thing showed up on any maps dating from 1850 to now. I called my parents, who I got into metal detecting, and asked them if they wanted to go to a promising site. I let them use my spare T2 SE, while I used my new T2 SE, my parents found a beautiful engraved colonial keyhole, a drawer pull, and small knob within a few feet of each other. I found a couple colonial buttons around the cellar holes (there were two next to each other). My mother yelled that she found a colonial button, while my father sat on a stone wall. I also found a couple buttons within a short period of time. I didn't find too much trash, the road doesn't have that much use, except for some joggers (like one who I saw while I metal detecting). I only went to this group of cellar holes, though I know of at least 2 or 3 more along the old road, based on the lidar.
I would guess that this site was active between 1750 and 1800.

Blurry cell phone photos of the site. It's hard to tell, but on each side of the old road is a stone wall, which have now fallen into ruins.
