I have been researching an old fairgrounds and recently found an old picture from early 1900's showing people standing on a hill at the fairgrounds. When I got there I compared the picture to what was there now. I then went up the hill and right I away found a wheat penny. I then got a good signal that was reading 6 inches. It was what I thought was an Indian head penny because it did not look like a wheat and was very hard to make out any details. I scanned the hole again and it was reading another target. About another inch or two comes out a nice V nickel. After finding some other targets I called it a day after about two hours. The wind was cutting right thru me and I was freezing. My finds for the day were 1942 D and 1952 S Wheat pennies, 1908 V nickel and a 1905 Indian Head penny. I had to soak the IH in hydorgen peroxide for a while just to see what it was. Also found brass buckle and another brass piece that looks like it was a buckle as well. The silver thing with teeth is a calf weaner according to the patent number on it.
