Hi all, I decided to start November off with pennies. Since halves are slow for me(10 box skunk streak), and nickels were not nice to me in october, pennies almost always average me 18 wheats per box. I like to search pennies for fun when silver is being tough on me.
Box 1 was from one bank, came in brinks box stamped 10/31/11 with a machine number.
Box 2 was from another bank, no box, but were brinks rolls.
Here's the take:
1919
1940
1942
1944
1945
(2x) 1946
1946-S
1949
(2x) 1950
1950d
(2) 1951(one almost red)
1951d
1952d
(2x) 1953
1954
1955
1955d
(4x) 1956
(3x) 1956d
1957
(3x) 1957d
(2x) 1958, both snow red color
And... a 1972 clipped planchet penny. **see picture**
Also, 3 red-brown color wheats in 2 boxes is WAY above average, I am averaging off of a rough guess, 1 of these red-brown wheats every 2-3 boxes. *scanned in 600 dpi for best picture)
update: added another penny, looks like a grease filled die. not 100% sure though, it's 2000, can just read the date.
-I do not flip over each penny to the obverse or reverse, just so happened this penny was facing up at me. I dump out the pennies, and slide them into my hand 5-10 at a time quickly glancing for wheat reverse or older patina/dates.
