Hit a very obscure area of Golden Gate Park today. Scored 4 wheaties, a 1936-P merc dime, and a 1896 V nickel that I destroyed with my digging tool! The V nickel was a 3 inch hit on one of the many dirt trails that wind through the park.

Good hunting and it does make you mad to start cleaning your coin with a knife blade. Good thing is that it wasn't a mint condition "S" mark $20 gold piece. Not THAT will ruin your day, week, month,. . . .
