I was not really looking forward to todays trip, as I knew we were coming to the end of the site. We had predicted ourselves 3-5 Roman Coins & ended up with what we thought; 5 after 2 hours.
This left us 3 hours to explore the rest of the field & we did far better than I hoped:

1 & a bit Jettons
1 Lead Token
1 Rose Farthing (nice condition again)
Few good buttons
Nice Buckle & pin
Early Medieval Swivel piece
Nice Tudor Clothes Fastener (new type for us):icon_thumright:
2 Good Medieval Coin weights8-)
1 Farthing of either Ed II or Ed III:headbang:

Yeap we like variety like this, it did shock us a little, as we had both explored before with little results. This time we had a little competition, & said who ever gets the best results from choosing a 1 hour grid area will win. Dad choose the hammered area but I got it:thumbsup:

super sweet finds!

Sweet; No gold, i wish you luck.

Good to see You out! A little from everything! Nice little hammered and spectacle buckle!

UPDATE:

The two coin weight are both 15th Century & are to check the weight of two of our most famous hammered Gold Coins; The Noble & Quarter Noble. Very cool to get them is the same day!

Hey Cru, if you run out of American cents (I think you are soldering the coins to the cents to make sure they don't blow away) well I have a large pot full of them, so let me know...

Well done again!

Very nice finish for sure. Not really decided on what I'mm liking the best the Tudor clothing faster or the weights. The silver farthing is just a little icing to the hunt.

Being an old post from 2012, without digging into the records, I don't even remember which Roman Site it was.

Quite right-these ol' post are still new if one misses them. :)
Just another day in As The Soil Turns-could be a good soap title. :laughing7:
