Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore mostly or oversized coil on equinox.

Honestly only went here because it was close and I wanted to see if I missed any clad quarters. They mowed the grass which helped. Apparently I did miss some quarters because I dug another 12 bringing the total from here up to 42! The 1992 British 10 pence coin was unexpected. Nice glass door knob, a big horse buckle? And this old button. Was very shallow. Shallower than some of the cans I dug. Front of button is plain. Except for a few specs of gold plating left. Back is marked Stockton and Burtis Philada. So it was made in Philadelphia. That's all I know on it.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice flat button with an intact shank! That could be late to mid 1880s or a bit earlier...

I was not expecting a flat button here as the school complex is circa 1950s. Apparently it was farmed previously assuming that is where the buckle came from. Any list out there of button manufacturers? I can't find anything on Stockton and burtis.

I would date that button to the early 1800s. 1810s-1830s would be my guess. I haven't found any information on the backmark but will keep looking.

Wow early than expected. Certainly possible there's two early houses around the corner from here one has a sign on it of circa 1750. Would love to detect that.
