Well my friend took me to a knew spot, and I have to say that is the first time I ever detected a gravel and dirt road. I wanted to go in the woods near an old structure by some huge oaks. Within the first few moments I found a Hibernia and I became a believer in that road. My friend then finds a really nice pewter USA button, the next hole I dig is this big piece of lead with what we believe are initials. I was told it was for making musket balls during the Rev War but also wanted to see what input I could get from other collectors. ALso found some other buttons and another decorated piece of brass that I am unsure what it was used for. After about an hour we had to leave and I hope to go back to that location. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well done on getting the old copper.
The brass piece might be a backplate for a handle off a furniture drawer
