Rev War/War of 1812 unknown items

Hey guys,

Looking for help with 2 items recovered from a battery utilized from the Revolutionary War through the Civil War. The first is a brass hook with a partial loop strap remaining. The second appears to be a stamped lead 3. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The first is a strap snap hook. I think well later than Civil War.

Hey Charlie,

Thanks for the help, however given the site's history, dimpling of the brass, and adjacent find from the War of 1812, I doubt this is snap hook is modern. I did stumble across this Civil War belt online...look at the brass hook on the leather strap. Think I may have ID'd it-

Looks to me more like this style - from the 1940's.
