Great recoveries!
Congrats,

Nice coins and you even got the whole date on the cut silver. The button is sweet too. That's a great day.

The 1712 came on the way out of the site. I was swinging back to the truck. My buddy came over with his DFX before I dug and he got an 81 lock on signal. It was very close to where the little cob came out too. My buddy is on his way here now and we're gonna try and put in a few hours so long as the rain doesnt completely wash us away.

That's a bunch of nice finds there GW, especially the coins. Very unusual to get all 4 digits to the date on a cut piece. I like the angle of that cut.

Thanks Bill. We really got lucky with this late season site and to think I've passed it up since it was offered up to me last Nov. I just never dreamed an old 17th century site would be so far inland. If they can be here they can be anywhere and thats real good news. I took off this week because my buddy had a 10 day vacation. Too bad for all the rain but since the season is extended we still may get another site yet.

Actually its probably an early 18th cent site site now that I think about the coin finds.

Outstanding coins. GL&HH!

Wow GW great stuff! Coins are in excellent condition, and I really dig the military button..that may be the find of the day! Google that unit and track down the origin, you may be surprised...thx for sharing, ddf.

Thanks. Because we rarely find military items around here I have zero knowledge on the button. What unit is it from?

Awesome finds that,s a great looking piece of cut silver , great SLQ as well, is the button whole or is there as small piece broken off? Either way it's a good one.

Thanks. The button is definitely cracked and would prob break easily if I messed with it.

Great hunt GW. Congrats on all the silver, especially the 1712 cut piece. Love the military button too!

I would love that stuff, maybe my next hunt?
Great finds, nice pix.

Thanks Steve. My best season in years. Nice to actually get out and hunt so much. Until this year, I've been too busy. Then this weather hit! Ugh. But we might get another hunt yet. Farmers just now getting around to spreading honey on the fields. I dont care, I'll hold my nose. lol

You seem to be more active this season???

Good to see you getting out, I like the stuff you dig  I wouldn't say I have been more active, but I have had what I would call successful hunts the last 4 consecutive weekends, which is better than my average April. I have only been out about 8 times this year so far.
