✅ SOLVED Revolutionary War Era Horse Stirrup??? Please help identify

IMG_0948.webpIMG_0949.webpIMG_0950.webpDug this not too long ago here in South Georgia in a wooded area known to Early 1800's Indian Settlement. It was rusted up and I didn't think too much of it at the time. My good buddy suggested to look into it as he thought is was a really old style of stirrup. He cleaned it up for me and here is what I have. Any thoughts of age?
 
it is a stirrup but no idea on age but it looks really old

This is close,002.webp it is an early 18th century colonial stirrup employing a pivoting swivel and double bars in the base

That is a very nice find. It is absolutely hand forged and would fit nicely into the Rev War time period. That's an excellent save and great job getting it restored.

It sure did clean up well. I have no doubt it's period to that site we've been hunting. Just need a few coins from there now.

Very nice find. I don't think that you can accurately say that it is from the "Rev War era" because the war only lasted a few years. But I would think it's safe to say that it's an 18th century stirrup-congratulations
