hello all,
just wanted to post a few pics of the 75 private acres in upstate new york that i've been hunting. no new finds since last post, have been mainly walking the land, it's almost overwhelming, but i'm enjoying every minute of it.
the land owner has informed me that general haratio Gates headquarters lies on this property, and it was not uncommon for his father to pick up relics laying on the ground.
so far total finds are 5 musket balls, misc iron pieces, 20 billion nails mostly square, part of a nice picture frame. one thing i will say about this land is, I have not found one soda can, pop top, pull tab or any other rubish. it's feast or famine and I'll take it.

With this kind of land it can be really fun and rewarding or just plane boring at times. But when you hit a hot spot you don't have to worry about trash and can pull Keeper after Keeper.

As I said in another one of your posts, if you want some help just let me know I am over in near Watkins Glen NY. I am getting an MXT in the next week maybe we can do some Cache research. That area has lost treasures on it.

You need to locate natural land marks that someone could have used for markers and things that look like man made land marks too. Find these and detect around them.

Nice hunk of land, looks like fun.
