Ring #2........ 14K Pink Topaz or tourmaline

New location pays off......... Ring #2..... and this one is marked 14K with a amethyst stone (I think). Wooo Hoooo!!!!! I wasn't really excited when I first saw it though. It looked like something you'd get out of a bubble gum machine, but the more I cleaned it.... the prettier it got. I also dug my first wheatie (1955)... total coins for the day was $1.36....... HH 2 ALL!

p/s I forgot to thank my son..... the last thing he said to me today before I left to start hunting was "you're gonna find a ring today Dad".
I hope tomorrow he tells me I'm gonna find a pot of gold.......

Found it at a location that used to be a community pool. Now it's just a grass field...... I remembered how it was laid out, when it was open and hunted the grassy area around where the pool once was. I will defiantly be going back to that place as I only searched a small section of it................

I think you guys are right...... looks pretty light to be amethyst. I'm gonna get it checked out..... will update.

Nice ring. I'd guess tourmaline, too. Try taking it to a jeweler for an opinion of what the stone is.
