Wow!! What a day!! Hit my favorite park in San Francisco and hit the jackpot! The first 30 minutes I dug two mercury dimes that were about 30 feet apart. One is a 1918-S and the other is a 1927-S, both are in really good shape. Later in the afternoon I get this perfect signal, its only 4 inches deep. Out pops a 1911-S Barber Half! How did this coin get missed by all those other detectorist? Everybody and their uncle have plowed this part of the park for years and missed it! I was ecstatic to say the least! Also got a 45-S silver nickel, a skeleton key, and a Golden Gate International Exposition Medal. I believe its from the 1940's. My clad for the day was about $8.00, Dug 8 wheat pennies too. This part of the park has been pounded by all kinds of people over the years, and its still producing!

Awesome on the Barber half and the rest of the oldies . Gotta love that ! Not all silver coins are deep as you know . Even in our older parks here in So.Cal. I still find them (shallow silver) fairly often . Diggin deep silver is fun but I'd take em anyway they come as Im not picky . Great stuff and nice hunt ! :notworthy:
