Ring information

Today I found a ring that looks to be marked MD 925.
I understand the 925 mark but am stumped on the MD part(if that is correct)
Below are images of the ring and stamp mark.

Looks like M D to me. Stylized, like a maker's mark.

I looked in the usual places but did not find a match.

I agree makes mark cool find I would have to hide that from the kids and Wife
