Found these two items at the site of an old tourist lodge/Boy Scout camp. I have no idea about the symbol on the ring or the ornate markings or the purpose of the brassy item. Any ideas at all? I didn't do the ruler beside the second item but it's about 5" across.

Any marks on the inside of ring?

No there isn't. Reminds me a little of the Jesuit rings I've found in the past.

Looks like a drawer pull missing the swinging handle to me. Victorian era? Ring looks the same age.

Yes the drawer pull idea would work for sure....time frame is off but who knows who had what furniture in the 20`s.

I wonder if the ring might have been an Indian trade item???

Thanks.....I have never heard of the Eastlake style until now.

You mentioned this ring was found at the site of an old Boy Scout camp. A couple questions; is the ring pewter and if so, does the inside have the appearance of it having been chipped, giving the appearance of a crude heart when it may actually have been fairly round? If so, is it possible we are viewing the ring upside-down, and it is really a picture of a teepee? ( a common symbol used by scouts or lodges) ??

The ring reminds me of ancient roman rings.

I think you are right on Johnnyi, IMO. Maybe the scalloped side was worn toward the hand to avoid cutting into it. Looking at it from this position on your hand , it would look just like a teepee.

The ring has been identified as a mid to late 1600's Jesuit trade ring.
