I went down to the river and found some really crusty Zincolns then got a banging solid dime signal.
This one was in the mud and in better shape than the one found Sunday.

My gold test kit came in today.
Remember the Gold Mizpah I found last week?

I tested it and the results are shown.

No dissolve at 10K
Dissolve at 14K
Dissolve at 18K( just tested this for fun)

So I am to assume my piece is greater than 10K but less than 14K.
Amateur question, is this considered a 10K piece or a 14K piece?
Thanks for reading?

It is a 10K piece. CONGRATS on the gold!! UMM, I have never seen a 15K test acid? Is it new?

There is a slight chance it is 11K, 12K or 13K but most likely 10K

My typo.......14K not 15K

Congrats on the Merc, and the GOLD

Nice Merc congrats!! Nice job on the gold, HH

Looks like you ought to call it the silver or Merc river. Congrats on a couple more keepers.
