it's a little hard to tell from that pic...but it might be a gastropod. where did you find it?
 
greetings lord, not the best pic I know.

I found it along the Saint John river, in an area called Belleisle Bay, in New Bruswick Canada.

I'm pretty good at identifying the host rocks, but I have no idea what this one is.
