Nice score!

During my last three hunts in the woods, I've been following deer tracks, looking for
scraped-up trees, and haven't found ONE shed yet. But, I did find a few Wheaties ::)

Good eye to spot those antlers.

That's AWESOME! I'm surprised noone else got to it first.

Yep that is a keeper....I am suprised the mice have not been nibbling on it....they get em fast down in these parts....Good Eye....and Great Save :hello2:

Soup

GOOD ONE! I've found 3 over the past week! Only ever found one while driving down the road...

I haven't collected any antlers yet - mostly because I haven't found any while off in the woods.
If you find one that's "fresh", do you have to let it sit and dry out for some time before using it to make things like knife handles or fake scrimshaw or buttons or whatever?

Nice Job!

Today while detecting (3/2) I saw a 8 point buck with his antlers still on.

You can cut it, slice it and dice it the day he drops it. My cousin actually makes knife handles out of them. When they drop them, they are as hard and dense as they're going to get. Hope this helps bud
