Road trip to the coast

Would anyone be interested in trying to get up a road trip to the coast to MD some sand. Week day or weekend, I'm flexible. But I would like to get down there early. Any suggestions or ideas on where would be the best spots to try.

hey redbronco.... My wife and I went to Bay St Louis last month detected there and Long beach. Lots of siding, etc left over from Katrina. Small amount of clad was all we found. Had a great time though and only saw one other MD'er. The real treasure there is the Dungeness crab buffet every night at the Hollywood casino. Not to be missed! Good luck on your hunt.

Salty Dog and myself went down on Monday and hit 6 areas on the beach from Gulfport to Biloxi. I finished up with 52 coins, all clad, not sure what my hunting buddy did. There was a little breeze from the gulf but it did get warm. Although the bikinis made all that OK.
