Robbie Burns and Queen Vickie Save the Day!

Another hunt with Tony on two new sites which didn't pan out as well as I had hoped. At the first new site we were about 20 minutes in when we started finding plugs from another detectorist who had beat us to the punch. We stayed for about an hour and somehow they missed the find of the day...the Robert Burns Cigar tip tray. I figure they must have thought it was a can of something so didn't bother digging.

The second site was brand new but with only random targets and no sign of an actual site. I did pick up the 1899 5 cent so that made it worth the stop. This is the first day of my vacation and tomorrow we are travelling afar for some digging in completely new territory...fingers crossed!
