Hello, I am new to this site. I live in California and just recently heard about this gold find. Wow! All my life I have bought and sold Collectibles and Antiques for a quick profit. Even eight years ago I had an antique store. All my life going to garage sales hearing the elderly ladies saying to me. Boy do you have a good eye! It was in the summer of the year 2000 when I found myself at subdivision garage sale, Saturday morning. Kneeling over this box of clothes. picking up this very old looking stuffed teddy bear, wearing this old dress. I quickly ask a lady there , "how much is this teddy bear, She quickly asked another lady there. Two dollar's she said. I quickly then put the old bear under my arms to hold it tight and pay the two dollars. On my way to the next garage sale, I went. At home that day. Looking over this old bear. I knew right away this old bear would not be up for sale. It went into my things that I wanted to keep for myself. For the next ten years, I researched my old bear. Looking on the computer, books in library's, used book stores. Looking for my old bears face, with out any luck. Then in January of 2010 I began to research my old bears body style. In an attempt to find my old bears manufacturer. Who made my old bear. Well it took me six months to find out who made my old bear. When I did I went into shock. I couldn't sleep at all! For the next several years, I have been trying to prove myself wrong. But I am not wrong to this day. My old bear is a very early, undocumented, Ideal bear, circa. 1903. Hand made by Morris and Rose Michtom. The Michtom's made so few of these first style bears that they were lost in time! What am I to do now!! I ask the members of TreasureNet.
