Early days when land was being cleared that was the trend to stack the rocks out of the way and around a tree was popular. Other folks just move rocks around a particular tree for protection of the tree. You see that on early homesteads a lot.

Lots of rock lined garden spots at early homesteads, is it in the middle of nowhere by itself or are their other signs of life?

Tree appears fairly young.

Doubtful it has anything to do with any buried treasure (nor do the clues in your other posts in my opinion have anything to do with treasure)

But one thing it tells you, there was human activity there, so you may find dropped coins and what not, so metal detect away!

I hope there is treasure here.. What I do know is that this area im in has many trash pits from the 17 and 1800s, from the ones i've found so far.

It looks like those rocks are a very recent addition as they appear to be sitting on the pine needles
