I think New Mexico is a great place to find pretty rocks, I'm not very knowledgeable, when it come to identifying rocks, minerals, etc. I do know quartzes and fluorite when I see it, but that's about it. These are a few photographs of rocks I've found, I use a black background to make the rocks stand out.

nr 2 looks like quartz and citrine(=yellow stuff)
nr 3 may be flourite or blue quartz
nr 4 looks like agate to me, but not sure..
nr 5 lokks like pyrite, with small quartz crystals
nr 6-7 looks like quartz and flourite.
nr 8 I can't remember the name, lol
nr 9 is what we swedes call "ökenros" translated it would be desert rose.

Cool crystals. Did you find all those in NM? Some of my favorite crystals are the fluorites...the variety of colors and such perfect cubes. Do you find fossils in NM?
