Rocker box, or High Banker location ? Front Range to Poudre Canon

I haven't been out there in that area in many years(35),but,at that time, going west from 'Ted's Place'(hwy 14?).There were several places along Poudre River. You couldn't use anything other than a pan tho.The river was very rough and fast in most areas but there was a couple of wide areas where the current was slow enough to pan.We use to go up to a bridge marked 'Granpa's Bridge' and the trout fishing was very good.Hope you do great and HH

For those of us who do prospect who live in Fort Collins there is gold in the Pouder but in such small quantities there is a reason why we go to clear creek or Douglas or elsewhere when we are going out.
Gold here is very spotty and pays in very small amounts.
See the attached picture, the single vile is from when I was 14 and 15, I spent apx 80 hours panning and crevesing bedrock in order to amount this little bit of gold. Its there, just not much.
By comparison the two viles are what was found in cache creek in about 5 hours.
