A friend of mine found these rocks in uprooted tree roots by the creek at her house... She wants to know if they are just rocks or could be artifacts, since some of them are peculiarly shaped... They all appear to be just naturally shaped rocks, I see no evidence of having been "worked" by man.

To me the rocks look like shale which will break off in shapes like that also will flake off in thin sheets so it will look worked but is actually a natural occurrence.

Well these guys are not going to like what I have to say. They are not natural. I say take it to the treasure signs and symbols tread. One is the owl stone. The other is a top of the site. It's say there is something hidden but it's under water.

BackwoodsBob,

I know it may be hard to describe given the pictures uploaded, but which is the owl stone and which is the "top of a site"? And what is that exactly? And what would be hidden underwater? Im sorry to bombard you with questions, I just know that when I give her a reply, she will probably ask the same thing. We are novices.... obviously :) Thank you for your help

Obviously they are rocks. We can all agree on that. These are the ones I was talking about.
