I came here thinking i could find someone serious about the Beale, to share ACTUAL proof of solution with and go dig the treasure up. It's a simple thing, solve cipher #1 , follow the directions and start digging right?

Then I come and read all this BS. "I SOLVED IT" ETC ETC.
WELL.. we are waiting... where's the gold?

"OH it's a 2 part crypto.." etc etc.. Bull--it.

The solve is simple, it's a word for word swap cipher, there's no "maybe" or "almost" if you solve it there's is no mistake.
If you ACTUALLY solve cipher#1 you will also learn the origination of the treasure and know for certain it is real even before digging. These are FACTS.
SO, in short:
1. If you "think" you solved it with the DOI you are WRONG.
2. IF you think it's a complicated solve, you are WRONG.
3. If you think anyone posting here has any clue at all, you are WRONG.

Now of course , I am just another self claimed know-it all newbie, why bother listening to me right?

We can compare my finds with yours but I doubt that would help lol.

So lets just agree its true, Im just another blowhard... but... take my word for one fact ... everyone here is WRONG. Lol... if they found a 5 ton treasure you would know.
.

If you solved it why don't you go dig it up..?

Good question... answer is i thought I'd find here someone deserving of a partnership... and I'm lazy... need someone else to do the digging lol.

Food for thought...
The encryption method for Cipher 2 and the DOI is a simple sequentially numbered document that converts numbers to text to readable message so in that sense you are correct. However, do you actually know that this is the same method used on Cipher 1 or could he have numbered every other word or every third. Maybe he chose to use the last letter instead of the first.this is where I was in 2024 with endless combinations.

As I built my decoder in Excel to handle all the options and making the results more precise, I found the alphabetical string A to P at location 188 when the DOI is used to solve Cipher 1. Experts have known about this string since 1970. The 19 character string is not natural but intentional. This indicated to me it was a hoax.

I have now come to realize that the string is more likely the first step of a two step process.

So you are right, I have not found the treasure and i don't know the two step approach will lead me to the treasure but that's where I am in my search.

Right now I'm investigating caesar and vigenere ciphers which converts alphabetical characteristics to different alphabetical characters which is what needs to happen if solving Cipher 1 is a two step process. If other members know other methods to do the same please let me know.

Those who claim to know the location probably have their reasons for not providing proof.

Beats me I'm too lazy to dig lol
Proof that you solved it is to recover the treasure, being "too lazy to dig" is not a good sign you solved ciphers. Are you willing to pay someone to go dig for you?

Kind of confusing? You said you don't go dig it because your're "too lazy", then you said you dont go dig it because you "broke your leg"?
