found this morning. A dupondius of Augustus (27 BC-14 AD), struck under the moneyer M. Salvius Otho (7 BC) Although worn, this piece is in good state and besides of that, it shows two countermarks.

That is one old coin. What is the reason for the counter stamps? Is that where some one else laid claim to the coin?
