really cool finds as always. digging any of that roman stuff would be an absolute thrill to me. especially those coins. they are wicked cool :headbang:

Excellent result is understated. And the hobnail is my favorite. I never found one, but i know buddies who have dozends of them. Seems it depends on the area you're detecting.

Another great day! Roman strap fitting must be a rare find. Some really fine quality bronzes too.Bonus hobnail! Well done team!

That's pretty darn early for anyone!

Congrats Cru.

Heck of a haul. Even some of the bronze ones have some good details. Nice work once again!

Congrats Cru.

If you think about it this coin before our invasion of AD43 & being quite far inland most of our Roman Settlements don't take off until the middle of the 2nd Century with the peak of activity in the 3rd & 4th C.

Man, your finds are amazing. It seems that every time you go out you find something that is historical and predates anything we have here in North America. Well done and I always look forward to seeing your next post.
I think though the coolest thing about your hunts is the fact that you can get out with your dad. My dad loved history and would have loved this hobby I really wish I would have taken it up sooner.

Nice hunt and finds! HH, Mike
