Given this Roman from a friend here in my Bulgarian village.
He found it in his garden while gardening.
Only washed with water on finding.
Told by another friend here that it could be Augustus?
Has SC on the rear and the word ' Provident'
Any ID would be great thanks!
Just done a bit of investigating...
Augustus As Ae
Divus Augustus struck under Tiberius
RIC I 81 (Tiberius-old RIC), Cohen 228, Sear5 1789
10.73 gm, 28 mm
DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER, rad. head left
S-C either side of large altar, PROVIDENT in ex.
