A nice cool & sunny day to put in a 6 hour hunt. It was good to grid over old ground again but we have done this site pretty well & nothing really special showed today. However, there is at least another 3 days work on here, so fingers crossed.

Too hot for me, I visit those places in the winter. I did catch a 112lb catfish in the ebro, great week, we had 4 over 100!

Those are some very nifty finds. The funny thing is, I just found a brass pc. that looks exactly like the flower pc. you have there. But yours sits flatter in the back, mine is not a button, but has a threaded back, like it might have been a small drawer pull.. what is yours? WTG again!

Its a pre 17th C Leather Mount, with 2 bent over prongs on the reverse.

Cru, you seem to find stuff even if you've hunted it before. Is this the result of getting deeper again? What is the square thing with handles at bottom/middle of second picture? Looks like it might say "manchester" across bottom?

Its a watch winder.

I'm doing better because its a very contaminated site & the Deus is not only getting deeper but getting between the nails. I had a small hammered today in the same hole as 2 nails. Dads Cortes would have missed this, & therefore it would have waited for me to grid over next year.
