Finally I was ready to give detecting a go after weeks of recovery from a broken kneecap.
One of my concerns was that my detector may pick up my metal work in my kneecap. Luckily that was not an issue.
I wasn't sure how long I would last as I had to dig with my left leg & get used to a new style without putting my recovery backwards. No issues there as I managed 4 hours broken up by a lunch break.
I was still fast enough to take the usual lead position in the grid & we managed to cover a fair area. I got most of the coins, but Cru'dad got the best Plate Brooch!

31 Scrappies
1st C AD Fibula (Brooch)
Nice Roman Plate Brooch8-)
Roman Hob Nail
Roman Pin Head
Bits...

It was a real mild day for this time of year & I wrapped up a little too warm! Nice to be out detecting again. (up until now all I could do was river bank fishing to be in the great outdoors, somewhere I love):icon_thumright:

Glad to see you are able to get back at it. Be careful and stay out of the deep plowed fields with the uneven ground for now.

Welcome back. Glad to hear you are recovering. As always your finds are wonderful. Thanks for keeping us “posted”. Stay safe and keep swingin.

I continue to marvel at how your "average" finds are older than the country in which I reside. I'm happy to hear that you are mending well and able to continue to pursue your passions!

If your new knee had set off your detector, that would have been too cruel. Glad you're doing well.

Very happy to see you back out there Crusader. Great bunch of finds as ususal.

It's great to hear that you are up and earning your share once again.
The quality over quantity does it again.
Nice Brooch.:occasion14:

Very Cool as Usual!!! Congrats!!!!!

Welcome back! Careful with that knee for a while.

Thanks all.
I'll continue the daily physio & take it easy. No going backwards, is the plan.
We have many acres to grid & it should keep us going until Spring drilling halts it.

Good to see you back to work! Great results like usual!
Crudad managed a really nice brooch! Take care with you knee...

Welcome back looks like the recovery of the knee and the recovery of Rome continues!

Nice recoveries. Learning to dig with the left leg is a challenge. Do you have any pics of the fish? I hope your recovery continues to go well.

Do you have any pics of the fish?
I will do after I finish my 35mm film & get it printed. (Don forget I don't have a mobile - hate them) My 5 Megapixel, 10 year old digital camera stays at home.

Now that’s old school.
Yeap the way I love it when it come to mobiles, not the same as my detector preferences as I'm study when to buy a Deus II.
Although it's on the back burner again, as I've just bowed out of detecting tomorrow until my painful knee calms down! Can't get hold of Medical staff right now to look at it until the current crisis dies down!
