Today I gridded on for another 5 hours & Dad did about 1 hour. Not as many coins, but I got some quality ones instead!

My first hammered ever from this field - Henry III
Silver (Georgian I think) Ruler or something?
Roman 'Hare' Brooch - pretty good nick for this scarce type
Roman Pin Head

I'm very pleased with the Billion Ant. of Probus.

That is some AWESOME DIGGING Crusader CONGRATS

Very cool digs today! Three stunning bronzes( ok, the Antonian is not a real bronze....), the hammered and the brooch....these animal brooches are rare no matter which animal, with hare even more than the horse ones. Like the patina of the Antonian. :notworthy:

Flat out.....AMAZING!!!!!!

Great variety there Cru , congrats ..cheers Mick

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures

That's amazing! Your grounds are saturated over there.

Nice coins...check
different buttons...check
Countermarked copper....don't get to check that one too often, don't know or care about value, they're just interesting, and therefore very collectible (to me)

I like the patina on some of those romans. Those are nearly impossible to find here unfortunately.

I don't really know much about what you are finding....but Holy smokes is it cool!!! I'm going to move to England so I can find this stuff...If you don't find it all first!

Only some areas of some fields are like this. The trick is finding the right areas.

Crusader:

Please stop with all the great finds! I'm going to start yearning a return trip to Colchester, though I can't possibly get away anytime soon. Awesome finds! :headbang:
