Hey folks,
It doesn’t count as stealing from the Lord if you find money at a church camp, right? [emoji23]
I finally got back to a spot my brother and I hit in early 2018 to do some more hunting (previous post here http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/t...nder-spokane-big-silver-gold-rare-tokens.html).
It is primarily a church camp and has been from the 40s onward but last time here I also found a couple civil war era buttons so I was curious to see if I could find more.
Overall, I had a great day headlined by finding a 2 Rosie spill (52-S and 53-S) in the first hour of my 4.5 hour hunt. I also took home 9 wheats (oldest is a 39-S), 2 tax tokens and a 1940 Jefferson nickel.

I chatted with the old camp caretaker who told me that an old church member did some detecting there and found some nails from horseshoe from civil war times. I told her about the cavalry buttons I found in that same area. It was nice to get some confirmation of other period items found there. There was a military fort in the mid 1800s less than 10 miles away so they must’ve spent a little time here.
I focused the second half of my day on finding another cavalry button without success. Maybe I’ll get another next time.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting folks!
