✅ SOLVED Round ball/canister/grape shot???

Got most of the rust off and this is what I found. 10.27 ounces; 5 1/2” circumference; diameter 1 5/8”. No discernible seams. Magnetic.

Area was settled in 1740-50, and rich in colonial, rev war 1812 war and civil war finds. Now warehouses.

Canister shot or?????

Looks like one to me, but what do I know, I'm on the west coast.

It looks like you have an iron ball . 10.27 ounces is .64 lbs and there is one that’s 1.68” which is close to your measurements.
That would make it Cannister shot for 18# Gun and there would of been 27 per round.
This is my best guess per McKee Mason book.
