🥇 BANNER ROYAL ARTILLERY SHAKO PLATE

[CanDiver]

HI everyone. I went for an early morning dive and find a few nice coins. When I was down to 500 pounds I started kicking back when I got a decent signal. I swept twice and saw a broken dish... when I turned it over there she was. What a beauty!!!! So rare I cannot find another example.

Awesome hat plate!

The preservation from the cold fresh water kept it nice!
Fantastic find

[joeyfresh]

Nice find. Do you have any more info on it?

[GioTheGreek]

Now that is a beauty! Congrats, brother!

[jewelerguy]

outstanding find

[BullBat]

I have yet to find a matching helmet plate online also. There is however, an identically designed, tunic button from the Napoleonic Era (1796-1816.)

It does appear to be from the British Royal Artillery starting in 1813.

Military Regalia, Badges, Braid, and Accessories

The ninth item down appears to be the matching design on a shako plate dating 1813-1815. The item above it had a different design for the same unit prior to 1813.

Another outstanding find! What is the other item with the Broadarrows?

CanDiver that is an incredible recovery. Congrats on that one man

Great looking plate Candiver, it's kept well in the waters. It deserves a place up on the banner as it's a quality piece of history.
