Royal Navy Flag Officers Button 1757-1774

I had a little play time today so I decided to go back to a site that had given up a few 300+ year old Halfpennies the other day. No coins, but I did pop out another Royal Navy Flag Officers Button 1757-1774. I should have enough matching buttons for a coat now!!!

That’s a pretty good time period too. Leading right up to the war. I wonder if whoever wore it was a Loyalist or switched sides when the revolutionary war broke out.
