I heard this from a person who is supposed to really have his ear to the ground on the detecting industry. I would rather not share his name.

However, I cannot find any evidence supporting the rumor or he may simply be mistaken.

Rumor: Minelab has or is in the process of selling out to a firm in Spain. Current models will be dropped from the line and parts for existing machines will go unmade. The Nevada repair center is closing (or closed) and moving to Chicago. None of the Nevada techies are moving up there.... and the Chicago facility wont have the expertise to fix the machines worth a darn.

??? ??? ??? :icon_scratch: :dontknow:

...the whole thing was filmed in a studio in the late '60's . Man never walked on the moon.

But that too is also just a rumor.

Completely false.

Minelab just sold out a couple years ago to a conglomerate (Codan IIRC). They posted last year that Minelabs sales were it's biggest chunk of all thier companies. No way they would sell it right now.

Well if you own a company and want to sell it...............You sell when it is doing good not when it is doing bad.........
