rusty axe head

how could I preserve an axe head that is extreamly rusty and crumbling apart from past posts on the forum i was told it is old is there anything i can do to s top it from falling apart

Electrolysis, oil bath, media blast, acid dip, hot tank or some of the spray protectants come to mind but without pictures and an objective it's really hard to say what would work for you.
