Hi, can anyone find a simular bottle in their books or on the web? Usually all my bottles are common and pop right up! I see that Hurst was a chemist early in Boston, but no sign of this bottle. It has an inside threaded lip and is as big as a soda bottle.A light seam above the slugplate horizontally only half way around the bottle. 2 seams on each side going up to the blobish top. Thanks for any information!! Slugplate reads S J HURST CHEMIST BOSTON

Nice find, probably a mineral water or soda bottle, many druggists had the best soda fountains to be found back in the day. There are several different "Chemist" soda bottles to be found out there...

Thanks for the information epackage! That was something I didn't know, but makes sense. Thanks Bass, I like it also, especially the inside threads!

Nice! No slugplate on that one though. The lettering was cut directly into the mold. What puzzles me is that it looks British. I guess they could've blown them for use in the states. I always read that some of the whittled, red amber western whiskeys and Lash's bitters were blown in Germany.

Beauty right there. Cool find. Jgas

Thanks Sandchip, I learned some more! I assume it is a 3 piece mold with the wording on one of the molds, and the lip added on later. I love the threaded lip! But wonder if they used them on soda or mineral water. Thanks Jgas!

Somehow I skimmed over that your bottle says Boston and immediately assumed it was British. Weird! Wonder what that's all about.

It looks like it was blown in a 2-piece mold. After blowing and removal from the mold, the top was applied and shaped with a lipping tool. The top isn't counted in the mold part count if that's what you were talking about. Very nice bottle and great color. What's the base look like?

99% sure it was blown in the UK
