Does anyone else save the s Mint pennies?

They don't exist. I keep all pre-1971 pennies and spend the rest on vacation. I do like the Heaton and King's Norton mints the most though.

How many of you know what I'm talking about? I know Generic_Lad will.

i keep s mint pennies and nickels, but i dont have more than a worth.

Of course, I know. I beat that drum enough around here, but I don't think anyone listens. Enamel knows.

Yes I know. There aren't any s mint pennies. Only s mint cents.

Cents are minted in the United States--hence, look on the back of a cent--it states "cent." The British mint "pennies." Lesson learned from D_D & enamel7 long ago. :)

I save S mint cents if I see them... I have about 50 now, not counting wheat cents.

My box from the bank reads 25$ pennies

It's the slang term for a cent. In fact, we should petition the companies to make the boxes say "$25 cents."

They will be hearing first thing from me.

and their number should you wish to tell them about this disgraceful labeling

Ask to speak to Mr.String
If they ask which one, say it don't matter. Don't be afraid to tell them of all the other complaints, such as being shorted, and if you want a job, Mr.String senior is probably going to retire soon

And that they cull silver. :)

They only make the labels though.

i keep any and all s minted one cent coins i come across and any other s minted coins proof or not.

Oh, a headache is coming I see. First, we are Americans and we won Independence from the British that minted "pennies." We mint "cents." I do wish I had the time to do more research on who and what and when the "cent" came about. But for now, Americans have "cents" not "pennies" as most tellers still call this form of currency "pennies," but they are not. When I ask for a box of "cents," the tellers still look at me as if I am crazy! LOL. So be it. :)

Same thing with me apush. Just like when I ask for "half dollars". Some tellers don't comprehend unless you call them "fifty cent pieces".
