's on dredge adaptors?

was wondering if I made a piece of pvc dredge adaptor if it would work ok? using this on my gold hog mini and I really don't want to drill holes into it so was would this work plus I'm necking down from 2" to 1 1/2" to the unit any info or suggestions would be great!

I've seen people on YouTube do it. It'll obviously wear out quicker but it's cheap enough.

Or you could just zip tie your dredge hose in the header box like doc does.

well you know I was wondering why you couldn't? wasn't sure if there was a more of a friction drag or something like that? but I haven't seen it though.......thanks that helps me out
