I finally found something old, but unfortunately I did not use my metal detector to find it. I work in downtown Houston (new job) and there is a "pocket park" near by. It's on the side of a hill with some erosion. We had quite a bit of rain here this last two weeks, so I walked one of the erosions to see if anything had become visible. I saw some old blue glass peeking out of the ground. As I cleaned away the dirt, I saw that it was an old bottle, and in one piece
. When I got it out of the ground and the dirt washed off, I found out is was a S.S. Stafford Ink bottle from around 1900-1910. I'll be going back with my MD next week after work to see what else I may find.
