Posted a message yesterday about a bank having 1300 worth of halves...well I drove down there (about 45 min drive) and when I got to the bank the lady brought out dollars. On the phone they thought I said dollars. Well as it turns out they didn't have any halves in their vault but the cashier did have 120.00 worth. So I got them and went outside to check. The first 9 rolls had nothing and were federally wrapped. The last 3 rolls had a combined 50% silver, so I kept 30 coins, a few 90%s and the rest 40%'s. Not bad for my second day doing this huh. Also, stopped at my local bank that I usually don't have any luck at and saw a guy dropping off 500 bucks worth, so I waited outside to talk to him. Turns out my personal bank is his dump bank lol....awesome day none the less. I get pics up after class, i'm running late.

That's funny -
had that happen more than once.
I've also had them bring me wrappers when I ask for half dollar rolls.
I always throw in "fifty cent piece" & "Kennedy" to clarify.
Good job on the 3 hand wrapped rolls!!!

That is a great ratio. It is also nice to put a face to another CRH. Most CRH are pretty tight lipped in person about yields, marking, sources, etc.. Did you get any valuable information from him?

I too have had teller bring me wrappers when I've asked for halves. LOL

I dumped two boxes of halves at my bank about a week ago. They were still on top of the counter and I was talking to another teller at the time. A man walked in and said to the teller oh halves, I don't suppose those are on order for someone? The teller told the customer that they had already been searched and he said ok, but can I still have $5.00 worth? The teller gave him $5.00 in halves and this guy seemed really happy with that Not sure what he wanted that small of an amount for but ok.

Not everybody who gets halves is a CRHer. I was in the bank buying all the loose halves they had and another lady asked if they had $1 worth as I was in the middle of purchasing them. As I could see the $7 worth the bank had did not have any silver, so I just let her buy $1 worth of what I was going to buy. She was happy as she wanted them for kids or grandkids or something, I believe.

WTG Kev.....before long you will have a hill of silver coins that you can't jump over. Keep plugging and post some pictures.....I love the pictures....ha!

I have also had tellers bring me wrappers....I guess it happens to us all...but I do tell them....I'll take them, thanks.....
