Total newbie here. Here’s my story. I am a geologist. But the not the kind that does mining. I work on landslides. And construction stuff. I surf. Stand up paddle now. Like to explore fly fish on rare occasions. I have just sold my old jeep rubicon and am ordering a new one through a dealer in Idaho. So in about 8 weeks I am flying to Idaho to pick it up and drive back here I thought hey I bet there’s rainbows and gold up there so I’ll take my gold pan and do some prospecting. But then I thought wait this is the 21st century so I’ll get a metal detector and do some hunting. Got to pay for that jeep somehow. My name Well I have a big red golden retriever. And a Bernese mtn dog. So it seemed right Now if some one can point me in the right direction
